English courses with sport

If you like football more than maths, this course is ideal for you. You can choose from a great variety of sports that you can practice during your course. You will learn English in a frisky way also during games.

  • outdoor survival

Age: 7-17
Course start: every Monday from July till August
Taught levels of English: beginner to advanced
Course length: 2-6 weeks
Accommodation: in residence
Locations: Cambridge, Cheltenham, Malvern, Felsted, Oakham, Wokingham, Oxford – Kingham Hill, Bath – Warminster, Wellington College (depends on a particular sport)
Price: from £ 855  per week including full-board accommodation

Teaching and lessons

At the very first English class, all students are asked to take an English test. The test includes writing, vocabulary and an oral interview. This allows to place you in the right class for your ability level from Beginner (level 0) to Advanced (level 5), available for everyone.

Classes are mixed with students from different countries. Students are encouraged to speak English during lessons and their free time as much as they can during their stay.

There is a maximum of 12 students in each class.

Each student has approximately 20 lessons of English each week. These are divided into 4 lessons per day.

Classes are focused on communication, listening, reading and writing using computers, video, data projectors and other modern technology to enhance the teaching.

All learning materials are provided on loan in class.

 

Course also includes:

  • 6-8 hours of coaching per week in your chosen activity or sport led by professional coaches
  • 1 full-day excursion every week*
  • 1 or 2 half-day excursions every week
  • themed lessons that prepare students for excursions
  • full programme of fun and social activities on site
  • full-board or half-board accommodation, usually in residence or host family
  • End-of-course Certificate

*There are more optional excursion available to book directly on site

Whether you like sports, games, disco, quiz, drama or art, there is full weekly programme of on-site activities planned by a team of motivated staff.
